Terms

Draft. This is a short summary of how Gadabuy works, in plain words. It isn't the legal terms yet: those come after the legal check, before Gadabuy takes real money. Gadabuy is in testing, and no real money is taken.

Your account

You sign in with your phone number. You must be 18 or over.
Your gender and date of birth can't be changed by you after sign-up. Ask Gadabuy to fix them if they're wrong.
Gadabuy can suspend an account that breaks these rules, e.g. scams, fake listings or abuse in chats.

Buying

Prices shown are the seller's own. The Gadabuy service fee is added when you pay, and shown in the bill first: 4% for Buy now (at least ₦200) and 6% for groups (at least ₦200). Free passes have no fee.
Joining a group costs a joining fee. If the group doesn't fill in time, you don't pay the rest. Your joining fee (₦200) goes back to your wallet.
When a group is full, everyone has 2 hours to pay the rest (the clock stops from 10pm to 7am). If you don't pay in time, you lose your spot and your joining fee.
If a group can't complete, everyone gets back everything they paid, in their Gadabuy wallet.
A private group has 1 hour to fill. If it doesn't, everyone gets their money back in their wallet.
Your wallet only holds money given back to you. It pays for a purchase when it covers the whole amount.
Pay only on Gadabuy. Money paid to a seller directly isn't protected.

Passes

Every purchase gives a pass. It works on its date, or until its use-by date for listings you can use any time. An unused pass expires after that.
You can send a paid pass to a friend. Their new code replaces yours. Refunds still go to the person who paid.
For Men only and Women only spots, the seller decides at the door.

Cancellations

If a date is cancelled, its buyers get everything back in their wallet.
A seller can ask to cancel a whole listing. Gadabuy decides, and if it's cancelled, everyone who hasn't used their pass gets everything back in their wallet.
Gadabuy can pause a listing or take it down. When it's taken down, buyers are refunded the same way.

Selling

Gadabuy checks every seller (NIN or CAC, and a bank account) and every new listing before it goes live.
Sellers pay no fee: they get exactly their price.
Listings must be real, described honestly, with real photos.
Sellers check passes with Gadabuy (Check a pass, or Scan a pass on a listing's dashboard).
