Privacy
Draft. This is a short summary in plain words. The full privacy policy, following Nigeria's data protection law, comes after the legal check, before Gadabuy takes real money.
What we keep
- Everyone: your name, phone number, email (if you give it), state and city, gender and date of birth.
- Sellers also: business name and address, NIN or CAC number, and the bank account for payouts.
- What you buy and sell, your passes, your wallet history and your chats.
- Card details are handled by Paystack. Gadabuy never sees or keeps your card number.
Who sees what
- Other buyers in your group and chats see your first name only. Phone numbers can't be shared in chats.
- A seller sees the name on each pass for their own listings, to check it at the door.
- Seller pages show the business name, state, when they joined and their numbers on Gadabuy, never their NIN, CAC number or bank details.
- Gadabuy's team sees your details to check sellers, answer reports and fix problems. Every change they make is kept in a history.
Why we keep it
- To sign you in, run your groups and passes, and give money back to your wallet.
- To show you listings near you.
- To keep Gadabuy safe: checking sellers, age and Men only / Women only spots, and dealing with reports.
Your choices
- Change your name, email, state, city and phone number in Account → Personal details.
- Ask Gadabuy to fix your gender, date of birth or seller details if they're wrong.
